Key expiry

Our keys all expire after one year or with a new major release. You have anyway the right to ask for a new key whenever you want, regardless of status USP. This way we allow customers to move the key to a different PC and to reinstall the software after formatting the boot hard disk.

We also have permanent non-expiring keys. But in this case, if you need to move your key to another PC the procedure is more complicated and requires a fax signed by the company's management.

Key expiry only affects development environment, except for temporary keys (that you get usually during software evaluation). In case of temporary key, an expiry date is put on the database file too.
